The Planning & Logistics Manager leads the Planning & Logistics team. The role has a primary interface with central supply chain organization and has full accountability to schedule and deliver the plan, according to Planning and own end to end key business processes. Direct responsibility for right service levels and inventory levels.
Responsibilities / Key activities
Leadership:

- Defines priorities for the area and delivers projects resourced appropriately against critical business needs
- Leads and role models output of Manufacturing Operating System (MOS) supporting roll out and further development with hands approach by leading the Flow Pillar
Delivery & Cost:
- Has clear understanding and accountability of costs and performance criteria delivering the Annual Operations Plan - AOP to ultimately deliver the Value Creation Plan – VCP
- Collaborates with the Leadership Teams to drive overall performance of the site, such as planning, labour, management/efficiency and production
- Supports the production teams to continuously improve the use of resources (including materials, labour, equipment) to meet production schedules, customer demand and standards according to the Compelling Business Need - CBN
- Manages planning & control schedules and material requirements for a controlled flow of approved materials which ensure an uninterrupted production of goods
- Researches, evaluates and recommends best in class changes to production processes, systems, technology or equipment to enhance organization production capabilities
- Delivers key initiatives (operational projects) to both internal and external customers per the demand plan with targeted quality/time/cost following initiative management processes
- Owns a clear operating strategy for the plant by defining maximum flexibility, balancing service, inventory and cost. Defines the required improvement steps, to optimize these results
- Ensures master data is aligned to business needs
- Updates relevant information, tracking and reporting systems
